Storytelling Theatre with Flamenco Dance and Live Music
Format
A one act play in 3 scenes.
Synopsis
Breaking news! Modern TV meets ancient myth in an exclusive interview with Theseus, heroic monster killer and King of ancient Athens. For the first time, he reveals his secret loves, fears and betrayals as he travels through the labyrinth. His task is to kill the monstrous Minotaur, half man/half bull, who waits patiently in the centre of the maze for his human prey.
But their encounter is not what either expects. Set with the fiery rhythms of flamenco music and dance, both man and monster reveal the very heart of human identity.

Audience Response
“I enjoyed the timelessness of the journey. Theseus walks through the Labyrinth constantly. Killing the Monster every day and every moment.”
“It was very complex, happening on many levels, like the young people being sacrifices. This was political.”
Published Reviews
“This is ambitious drama. It hits audiences in places of which they were unaware and leaves them both troubled and touched, quite an achievement for a tiny cast in a modest setting with little more in the way of props than a ball of string and two bull masks.” Lothian Life Magazine August 2012
“I was engrossed and fixated by the show almost from beginning to end regardless and it certainly can be said that it managed to convey its interesting ideas about love and lust across to the audience through a fascinating medium.” Broadway Baby ****
